My Review; The Prole Soldier is book one in the Rainbow City trilogy and dives straight into the story without much in the way of introductions and setting. This story is split into three parts..
Part 1 – The Blue Zone. Part 2 – Camp US. Part 3 – Game On.
The cover suits this story perfectly! The Prole Soldier is different from what I usually read but I loved it, enjoyed it and found it an interesting, fast paced read! I also found that as a whole our society can relate to parts of this story even in this century. This is a one of a kind story you won’t be able to forget in a hurry.
Main character Theo is a young, determined character throughout and I loved the relationship he had with Dee. From part two onwards the story turned into a sadistic game which had me hooked! I did find that the whole story did just end suddendly, cut off but I am hoping that will be picked up upon in book two.
Overall The Prole Soldier is a powerful, eye-opening and page turner of a story. A well deserved four stars and I cannot wait for book two! Highly recommend.
