We work in the dark to serve the light. We are assassins.
Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day.
Now I must start by saying I am a big fan of anything Assassin Creed and was delighted it was being turned into a film, so I just had to read the book before I watched the film. However, I didn’t find this one as good as the series of Assassin Creed I have previously read. It is a brilliant story line but I wasn’t as hooked as I was with the series and I think that’s because they’ve turned it into a more 21st century story rather than the old series. Nevertheless, I enjoyed reading this one even though it took me a while to finish which is why I awarded four stars. This book is written well and contains short chapters but i wouldn’t class it as similar to the whole series. I can’t wait to watch the film now and compare the two. I must admit I do love the cover though showing the two personalities of an assassin. This is written by a different author than those written in the series which is also why it felt a bit different. Enjoy!

My Review: A gripping standalone novel from the author of the Detective Alec Ramsay Series. I must start by saying WOW! I was hooked from the first page. I devoured this story and I really did not want it to end. Excellent story. Brick is full of drama, suspense, violence, death, guns and lies. The perfect read which will keep you hooked throughout. I found it easy to read and extremely fast paced. Of course like usual I WANTED MORE. I cannot wait to read more by Conrad Jones and I am very happy that I was introduced to this author. A thrilling story packed full, which you will not forget in a hurry. Brick is the perfect story for readers who enjoy an excellent thriller, crime, action, drama, suspense and mystery filled story. I would highly recommend this story to you all. Enjoy, I did. Loved it.
Please note this book has been republished under Bloodhound Books and I read this book in September last year, this is my original review! Can’t wait to see whats next from Conrad Jones! I’m waiting…… A well deserved five stars.
Out of seven billion people, one man has declared war on mother nature and plans to bring it to its knees. Out of all the criminals in Los Angeles, he’s the number one target being hunted by the LAPD tonight and out of the entire LAPD, one officer is hell-bent on helping him complete his mission…
I was asked by the author to read this short story (21 pages) I awarded 3 stars as it is not usually a story I would have personally chosen for myself. I found it very fast paced and action throughout which constantly moved on and on until the end. From the first page the action begins! It is brilliantly written and I managed to read it in twenty minutes but I found I had to concentrate or I would miss a vital part of the story. Parts I did find confusing as it was so fast paced however, the ending explained all my doubts. If you think this is your type of story go and have a look (was free on Amazon yesterday). Environmentally Friendly is ideal for readers who enjoy a short story, mystery, fantasy, crime and action packed short story.
